Month: April, 2010
I got to start of by saying I loooove babies, I just love them. Baby J belongs to the gorgeous maternity client I did about a month ago and I finally got to meet him. He was one of those newborns with perfect skin….not even one pimple. He was also really alert during the session and had no intention of going to sleep even though we tried EVERYTHING:) He gave us a hard time, but in the end we got about 10 minutes of sleep which was enough to get in a few sleeping poses. I have to say they don’t get any cuter than this!!!
Thank you for letting me come over and take his pictures…he’s absolutely adorable!! I hope you like your sneak peak.

His mom had made so many super cute hats and this cocoon. She’s so talented. Doesn’t he look so comfortable here?

I met up with Jaki and Joshua for their engagement session last night. I have known Jaki since she moved here and her sister and I are really really good friends. Sofia loves her too and when she asked if I could take some pictures for her and Joshua I had to say yes even though I pretty much only do kids:) The weather had been beautiful all day, but by the time of our session it had became really cloudy so our soft backlight photo session couldn’t happen:) Luckily Jaki and Joshua wasn’t very picky and was open to try anything. They are such a cute and fun couple and it was a pleasure to hang out and take your pictures!!! I’m excited about your wedding that’s coming up soon….I’m going to be a guest, not taking pictures:) I have no intentions of ever becoming a wedding photographer.
Anyway, here’s a sneak peak from your session. I hope you like them. Aren’t they such a beautiful couple?

I always love pictures like this so I had to try them out:) It’s things like this I can’t try with my own child yet so I’m glad they let me do these pictures.

This is a small storyboard from a cake smash I did with Miss Emme this weekend. It turned out really cute even though it was over in maybe…2.5 minutes. She had been such a happy girl during the session, but by the end she had had enough. Not even yummy cake could make her want to do this:)
It’s sometimes hard to figure out how to display images that would go well together. I think storyboards are the perfect way of doing this. Storyboards can be mounted several different ways, such as on styrene or on a canvas which makes them easy to display.

I got to hang out with Miss Emme today for her 1 year pictures. She’s just sooo cute!! I have known her mom forever and I love to hang out with them. We had planned to to these pictures last month, but things kept coming up so we waited until yesterday. I am so glad we did…It was perfect outside and Em’s mom had picked out the cutest outfits for her to wear!! You know I loooove tutu’s and we got some pictures taken of her in that too. 1 year old’s are such a great age to photograph…they are so expressive, loves to laugh and explore, but is not as fast as 18 moth old’s:)
I had a great day and thank you so much for letting me photograph Em!!!!
I hope you like your sneak peak.

First of all I want to start of by saying that I love big prints on the wall and I can’t believe that I once believed that a 16×20 was HUGE. I guess being a photographer changes you in that way and I now believe that bigger is better when it comes to prints. There are lots of way to hang your larger prints, but one of the easiest way is to get your prints on an canvas. The great thing with them is that they come ready to hang…no need to look for the perfect frame that matches everything else you have on your walls. They are also sooo beautiful and will add something special to any wall. Here is an example of one a customer ordered earlier. It would also look beautiful with a few of them hung together on a bigger wall.

Here you can see how the texture look like.

As you can see the sides are beautiful as well. I love how it stands out from the wall.
