{Someone turned 1} Birmingham, Alabama child photographer

Mia turned 1 this month and I can’t believe how fast this past year went. This is the 3rd time she’s on the blog and she’s just as cute as always. Her mom had really planned out this session…awesome rocking chair, balloons, basket, letters, balls and even snacks. You should think it would be super easy, but it was not….yep, I said it, it was such a hard session:) Mia has just learned to walk and she wanted nothing to do with us….nothing. Her mom and I worked so hard for every single picture…singing, dancing, running around, putting her back in place, following her, being funny, and so on, but she really didn’t think we were funny at all. All she wanted to do was to look down so she could run and explore. I really can’t blame her….downtown is such a fun place to visit. Luckily our hard work payed of and we ended up with lots of adorable shots of her. I can’t get over how crazy blue her eyes are either. She’s such a beautiful little girl!!

Thank you Heather for working so hard during the session:)

{Maternity} Birmingham, Alabama maternity photographer

This is another session from this summer that I never got around to share much from. It’s my friend Lidija and she’s just gorgeous….pregnant or not:) I remember it was such a dark evening and we really wanted warm and backlitt, but I really like how the pictures turned out anyways. The dark blue dress was a perfect choice too.

She’s no longer pregnant, but she looked beautiful when she was. Don’t you agree?

{Amazing} Birmingham, Alabama Senior photographer

I feel like I’m sounding like a broken record right now, but I’m going to say it again….I’m soooo unbelievably far behind on my blogging. How many times have a already said that…waaay to many:) I have a huge list of sessions I need to post to my blog and I’m feeling like I never will get there. Hopefully one day I will be caught up.

Anyways, I just had to come back to share some…sorry, a whole lot of pictures from this session. I really love how it turned out. I have mentioned before how seldom I get to shoot seniors/older teens and it’s just one of those things that I love to do. It’s something different for me and I would love to do it more often so. This girl is smart, funny, sweet, gorgeous and a million more things….and I thought the same about her mom!! I can’t get over how beautiful she is either. We had a few places in mind for her session and I’m so happy they went with both some urban and some “green” locations. The light was beautiful, but it was soooo hot. I don’t think I’ve ever sweated as much in a session before….I know I looked horrid in the end, but it was totally worth it:)

Isn’t she just drop dead gorgeous?

{Close} Oxford, Alabama family photographer

I’m so glad that I got to meet this awesome family this past weekend. They’ve been going though so much in the past several years and I’m so excited that I got to take some family pictures for them. We were supposed to have done this in January, but then Collin weren’t doing well so we had to wait until now. We met on a beautiful evening at Oxford Lake which neither of us had been before, but it came highly recommended by other people. The whole family did awesome and I got to say that Collin was such a trouper. I know he was so tired and didn’t feel good in the end, but he fought though it and did awesome. I love that they brought their service dog with them and he was so excited to be there with us. I really think we were able to capture what they really wanted in this session….which I’m guessing is being a “normal” family being happy together. Thank you so much for letting me take your pictures!!!

Collin has been diagnosed with Devic’s Disease which was something I’d never heard of and I had to look it up myself. If you want to read more about Collin’s story please do so HERE.
